Welcome to the QMU Graduation Registration process for MONTH YEAR.

Through this process you can let us know your intentions regarding graduation.

Do you wish to exit from your course and graduate in MONTH YEAR or do you wish to continue on your current course?

We contact many students who are still studying their course but who may have the opportunity to exit their course and graduate with an award. This includes

Students in year 3 of undergraduate courses who may be eligible to exit with an Ordinary Degree rather than continuing to complete year 4 and exit with an Honours degree
and postgraduate students who may have completed enough credits to exit with a postgraduate certificate or diploma, rather than continuing to complete the Masters award.

Please note that we can usually only consider name changes that involve the reordering of names you have previously matriculated under, or the inclusion or removal of middle names. Requests to change your name from the official name you provided us with during matriculation cannot be considered without evidence that you completed your course under a different official name.

Your attendance at the DATE MONTH YEAR Graduation Ceremony at TIME

Your requirements at the ceremony

Students will ascend and descend a small set of stairs to cross the stage at the graduation ceremony. We can make alternative arrangements for wheelchair users or those with difficulty with stairs. Please note that information about purchasing guest tickets from the Usher Hall box office and your guest’s access requirements for the ceremony will be emailed to you after you have completed this registration process.

Attending the Graduation Reception after the Ceremony

Graduates and their guests are warmly invited to celebrate their academic achievements at the QMU Graduation Reception on campus after the Graduation Ceremony. The reception starts at TIME on DATE MONTH YEAR.

Upon arrival at the campus, you and your guests will be greeted in the traditional Scottish manner by a pipe band. Within the atrium you can mingle with friends and academic staff whilst enjoying complimentary sparkling wine and canapés. A selection of non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.

Please let us know if you will be attending the reception and let us know how many guests you intend to bring. Please note that we cannot accommodate more than 3 guests per graduate at the reception.

Your consent for use of your details in graduation publications and for contact from QMU’s Development and Alumni Office.

The names of all graduates and their awards will be published in the annual QMU graduation programme. The programme will be provided to graduates and guests at the graduation ceremony.
